The Muscle Shoals WTP Project added 3 MGD of capacity to the existing plant, but modeling show that the distribution system’s infrastructure would be unable to convey these additional flow to the higher demand ares. Approximately 1 mile of 16″ ductile iron pipe was installed to connect previously installed transmission main to the large diameter lines on the south site of town.
